Let's Take a Look at Some Apps:
Educreations: (interactive whiteboard)
Educreations is an app the enables you to place text on a blank screen or a graphic and record that session with voice, which then can be projected to a whiteboard. Why might you use this software if you already have Smart or Promethean? Using the app allows you to move about the room as you work on the lesson. You can then embed that lesson into your class wiki/website/blog. Students can use it to diagram and record themselves creating stories, etc.

Bookabi:
Bookabi is a story creating app. By using 2D & 3D characters in tandem with an assortment of settings, objects, speech bubbles, text & audio insertion and real picture importing, students have the capacity to design stories around whatever topic/theme they like. Have them work on the “elements of a story”. They can even take actual photos and use the Bookabi’s graphics interface to bring more meaning to a photo taken during classroom lessons.

FMM is a creative app for your ipad or iPhone that you can use to make static pictures come to life, often in humorous ways. Imagine making an orange talk, or having Ben Franklin come back to life with your voice. Make all sorts of historical figures come back to life and express their views on various topics. Create your file and the then export it as a movie file to use in other applications via email. It does attach an FMM logo to the end, but that can be trimmed off with Quicktime or a similar video editor.
